Tauranga – Explore Rotorua On Your Own LT58ACS

From the port at Tauranga, travel through the Bay of Plenty and explore the unique lakeside city of Rotorua – New Zealand’s hotspot for geothermal activity and Maori culture. On this shore excursion, it’s entirely up to you what you do! The Shuttle will make 4 circuits within the city. Your shuttle driver will provide a full and interesting commentary throughout the day and will be able to assist in planning your day to make the most of your time in Rotorua.

Stop 1: – Raftabout rafting centre for their rafting trips [pre-booking needed]. A courtesy shuttle can drop you back in Rotorua city where you can rejoin our shuttle bus and enjoy seeing the rest of Rotorua.
Stop 2: – The Whakarewarewa Living Maori Village – a budget-friendly way to see Maori culture and Rotorua’s famous geothermal features.
Stop 3: – Te Puia – The Maori Arts and Crafts Institute. Here you can see the famous Pohutu Geyser, geothermal pools and springs, traditional Maori culture, kiwi birds and more.
Stop 4: – Rotorua Information Centre (iSite) in the centre of the city. The best stop to explore the town, the local shops, and shuttles to other destinations (be mindful of your time in Rotorua).
Stop 5: – Polynesian Spa – a world famous natural geothermal spa, also close to the Government Gardens, Bath House Museum and the Blue Baths.
Stop 6: – Rotorua Lakefront – adjacent to Volcanic Air helicopter/flight centre and Kawarau Jet Boat
Stop 7: – Skyline Cable car, luge and fun activities at this family attraction. Next to Skyline is Rainbow Springs where you can see native New Zealand wildlife.
Stop 8: – OGO (another version of the famous ZORB rides) with FOUR different ball rolling tracks, some being the
longest in NZ.

On request your driver can also take you to the world famous Agrodome – home to a fantastic sheep show and working farm dog show. Right next door is Velocity Valley – here you can try some uniquely kiwi adrenalin activities. No matter your options, you’ll be spoiled for choice of things to do in Rotorua!
